J. MERCER REYNOLDS | Owner and President
Aviation experience: 16 years
Mercer Reynolds is the Owner and President of Reynolds Jet, since acquiring Midwest Jet Management in 2008. Mercer changed the name to Reynolds Jet Management to reflect the history and traditional of exceptional customer service associated with the Reynolds family name.
Mercer has held positions of Owner and General Manager of Air 10 Jet Center (KLUK FBO), Travel Manager in the White House Travel Officer managing the chartering of aircraft for members of the press for President Bush’s overseas trips, and coordinating logistics with the US Secret Service and White House Military Office. He currently owns Cincinnati Jet Center, based at Butler Country Regional Airport.
As President, Mercer is responsible for the culture here. This boutique customer service and safety culture is deeply instilled throughout Reynolds Jet. It is personified by every employee, and only continues to get stronger. His role is to ensure the company’s dedication to safety – that we live and breathe it – will never be compromised, and that we conduct business with complete transparency.
Mercer has a unique perspective in the industry, having been on both the aircraft ownership and private jet user side of charter management.
Mercer holds a B.A Philosophy degree from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
ALLAN L. MANN | Vice President, Operations
Aviation experience: 28 years
Allan Mann’s aviation career, that spans 28 years, started out in the Royal Air Force as a pilot. During this time Allan has gained invaluable experience in general aviation, airline, corporate and charter, and has been on many sides of the industry.
Prior to joining Reynolds Jet in 2008, Allan’s career highlights include the management of two general aviation airports, the running of two FBOs, started a corporate flight department – operating on 5 continents to 60 countries – and has flown aircraft ranging from hot air balloons to Boeing 727s.
In his current position of Vice President of Operations, Allan serves as the Director of Operations (Part 135), the TSA Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator and Company Drug and Alcohol Designated Employer Representative. He is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all operational aspects of the company, and oversees all operations personnel to ensure that customer’s expectations are constantly exceeded.
Allan is also highly involved in industry groups as Vice Chairman of NBAA Domestic Operations Committee, member of NBAA Training Advisory Committee and Member of FAA Air Carrier Training Aviation Rulemaking Committee Working Group.
TIM STANLEY | Vice President, Business Development
Aviation experience: 13 years
Tim Stanley joined Reynolds Jet in 2014 as Vice President of Business Development. He brings over thirteen years of private aviation experience with a vast array of business models and concepts.
Tim began his career in aviation with NetJets Europe. During his seven years there he was responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of all direct marketing activities. Tim’s extensive knowledge gained there was further honed during his six years with VistaJet: a leading luxury block-hour charter private aviation company. While at VistaJet Tim was instrumental in building the global brand across Europe and new-entered markets, while being responsible for the company’s global marketing strategy. Upon moving to the US, Tim oversaw all marketing elements for the aircraft management, sales and acquisitions, charter and maintenance divisions at Texas-based Starbase Jet.
Now with Reynolds Jet, Tim is responsible for the company’s US market expansion, driving growth through sales operations and directing the company’s overall marketing and branding strategy.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business degree from Nottingham Trent University.
CHRIS HAMBLEN | Director of Owner Services / Charter Sales
Aviation experience: 6.5 years
Chris Hamblen joined the Reynolds Jet team in 2009, bringing his extensive knowledge in previous positions as Director of Owner Services and Owner Services Account Management.
In his role of Owner Services, Chris is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to our aircraft owners, 365 days a year. He is responsible for ensuring our crafted boutique service is steadfastly upheld and that each and every aircraft traveler experiences extraordinary care and peace of mind.
Chris is also responsible for the on demand jet charter operation at Reynolds Jet. He leverages his knowledge of the local charter market, and his national charter sales network, to arrange the private jet travel for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business leaders and politicians.
Chris holds a bachelors’ degree from the University of Cincinnati.
BRYAN TYE | Safety Officer
Aviation experience: 12 years
Flying is in Bryan’s blood. He has been around aviation all his life. His grandfather was an Aeronautical Engineer/ Flight Test Development with LTV Corporation and Navy Test Pilot School. So, naturally Bryan found his calling in this industry too.
Bryan started out his aviation career at the age of seventeen fuelling aircraft as his local FBO, while he was in flight school. After earning his wings, he became a flight instructor in college and advanced to assistance chief instructor pilot at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. His progression from USAF Officer/Pilot Trainee, serving as the Executive Officer to the Commander of the 311th Human Systems Wing, through Co-Captain and Captain flying in Learjet 24s, 25s, 31s and 45s to Challenger 604 Captain has been the perfect platform for Reynolds Jet Safety Officer.
Ensuring that Reynolds Jet achieves the highest levels of safety and excellence within all areas of operations, Bryan’s experience is instrumental in maintaining customer peace of mind and complete confidence. His responsibilities as Safety Officer include the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the safety programs that keep employees, customers and their passengers safe at all times.
Bryan has been with Reynolds Jet for over 5 years in his role as Captain Challenger 604 and Safety Officer. He holds an Aeronautical Science/ Business degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI, and Advanced Ground Instructor, and is type rated on Learjet, Learjet 40/45 and Challenger 604.
DEBBIE JUSTUS | Director of Finance
Aviation experience: 14 years
Debbie Justus has been with Reynolds Jet since the first day, from the moment the 135 certificate was approved back in 2003. Under different owners and company name at that time, Debbie has seen the company change into what it has become today.
Debbie started out her aviation adventure as Comptroller for Air10 and then Midwest Jet Management. Previous positions held outside of aviation include Chief Bookkeeper for Gold Medal Products Company, Accounting Specialist for Howard & Nunn Inc. CPA and Accountant for Mead Corp.
A Reynolds Jet employee since 2008 – at this time the company name was changed to Reynolds Jet Management, to reflect the history and tradition of exceptional customer service set by the Reynolds family – Debbie is responsible for each aircraft owner’s accounting activity, handling the day-to-day financial operation of the aircraft. She ensures that the monthly owner reports are completed accurately and timely, tracking all aircraft utilization activity (owner and charter) and itemized fixed and variable incurred costs, including fuel purchasing reporting and maintenance.
Debbie graduated from Northern Kentucky University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree with Minor in Management.
DONALD C. MADER | Director of Maintenance
Aviation experience: 33 years
Don Mader started out his aviation career at the age of 17 performing a summer job as a mechanic’s helper, working on Bell 206 Jet Rangers and Long Rangers. When Don graduated high school, he went to college for his Airframe and Powerplant license and Associates Degree. From there, he worked for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing Aircraft Company working flight line for the AH-64 attack helicopter and 757 depot maintenance for several years. Don’s interest in larger aircraft grew and so pursued Heavy Jet cargo line maintenance where he was responsible for a fleet of 60 aircraft, ranging from Boeing 727,747 Airbus A300 and Douglas DC8, DC9 and DC10 aircraft.
Don has been in Aircraft Management as a Supervisor and/or Director for the past 27 years. Throughout his entire career he has been responsible for maintaining aircraft to the highest level of maintenance and safety.
In his current position of Director of Aircraft Maintenance, Don is responsible for coordinating/communicating real time aircraft status and maintenance requirements between Charter Sales, Maintenance, and Operations. Locate certified contract maintenance for AOG aircraft and assist in diagnosing/troubleshooting maintenance discrepancies. Order/tracks parts to ensure the timeliest repairs for AOG maintenance. Find and approve certified A&P maintenance along with certified part 145 repair stations to comply with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our aircraft fleet. Ensure that our Certified part 135 operation runs safely and within the guidelines of the FAR’s.
RICK SUMMERS | Chief Pilot
Aviation experience: 33 years
For more than three decades, Rick Summers has been in the aviation industry. His career started in 1982 as an air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration. After a spell as an Airport Manager, Rick held the positions of Chief Pilot, Director of Operations, Company Line Check Airman on Learjet, Learjet 60, Challenger 600 and Challenger 604, and Director of Flight Standards.
In Rick ‘s role as Chief Pilot and Check Airman at Reynolds Jet, he is responsible for air operations and the supporting ground operations. He utilizes his operational expertise, technical know-how, management ability and effective leadership skills to ensure the Flight Operations aircraft are operated to the highest level of safety and that all crew members maintain professional standards at all times.
Rick has over 15,800 total flight hours, 14,000 of which as Pilot-in-command. He graduated from the Federal Aviation Academy with a certification in Air Traffic Control and attended Thomas Edison University, studying Aviation Science.
